SHE surfs Bali - a new raving fan!

Surfing Bali with a fabulous group of women

SHE wrapped up our final 'learn to surf' trip for the year in November. Once again SHE found herself with a small group of fabulous, fearless women, each with their own reasons for joining us in Bali. For Sue, from Macedon in Victoria, joining our trip was mostly about improving her surfing skills. As a mother of 4 with an active family who are often on, or under, the water, Sue told us she wanted to spend a week really feeling like she was surfing. And of course she was looking forward to some time to relax in 5 star luxury with lots of pampering!

Here's what Sue had to say about her week with us:

"I have had a bit of time to reflect... thanks Suzanne for the fantastic trip to Bali, the experience will remain in my thoughts for a long time. It truly was one of the most memorable trips I have ever been on. The combination of the amazing surf, the attentive and focussed instructors, my personal level of improvement in surfing throughout the week, and the quantity of surfing we were able to do all contributed to this being a surfing extravaganza. I think however, the real bonus of the trip was the level of luxury, the time for myself, and the seamless organisation which gave me the opportunity for a real holiday. The food, the company, and the accommodation were all wonderful. I arrived home feeling fitter, elated and ready to get back to the grind.I would love to do this trip again, and I have been broadly promoting it wherever I go.  I think that a trip this good is very hard to find."

During our week, SHE saw Sue stand up on her board on the first wave, on the first day, and steadily improve during our daily surf sessions. We headed out to Kuta Reef on day two, riding beautiful friendly waves, encouraged by the near perfect conditions.

Our surf instructors challenged us on a beach break on our fourth day surfing together; we all agreed we simply would not have had the courage or confidence to take those waves on without our boys to help keep us safe. It was the surfing highlight of the week, leaving us feeling exhausted, elated, and as though we could leap tall buildings in a single bound.

SHE is so grateful to the ladies who've joined us this year, for their courage, their willingness to give everything a go, for their fearless attitudes. We've laughed a lot, we've made new friends, and SHE can't wait to do it all again in 2015.

Come and join us. You won't believe what you can do until you try.
